Free Robots.txt Tester Tools
This article will provide you with free robots.txt testers that are great for those beginning out in the SEO industry that don’t wish to opt for paid tools in the beginning. These robots.txt testers can check your existing robots.txt file setup if you already have one. If you’re in the process of creating a new one, they will let you know what the contents of it mean in simple language.
A robots.txt file is used to tell search engines what they can and cannot index. In simple words, a robots.txt file tells search engines what to show and what to hide in search results. It tells the search robots what parts of your site they can and cannot access.
I won’t get into robots.txt commands in detail in this post as they’ll be discussed in a future article solely dedicated to robots.txt file creation, but here are some commands:
To block all spiders from your entire website:

To let all spiders see all content on your site:

To block certain directories:

To block a certain spider:

To allow a certain spider, while blocking others:
